Electric Zoo Rundown

So I wasn't sure what to expect at Electric Zoo. Basically it's a gigantic outdoor all-day event on Randalls Island. There were 4 stages I think, 3 in tents and 1 main stage that was outside. It was packed with people, lot of guidos which was to be expected. Lots of Affliction, lots of Ed Hardy. The good thing is they were all tame and nice because they were all rolling. I got asked if I had E probably 5 times in the first 5 minutes.

These guys are all cool but did nothing to convince that I'm wrong. I just don't see what they do that I can't do. Like if I could get the equipment and plug my Mac in I could stand up there and do the same thing. Run through a ONE NIGHT playlist and have people going nuts. As for the original music I'd have to lay down a sick beat. Then call a girl with a cool voice to sing over it. Seems like that's about it right?

Anyway these are the guys we saw.  Check it out after the jump. (hint: click READ MORE)

Ben Watt - didnt know this guy but he was chillin doin his thing. no problems here. good start to our times. like the way he handled his headphones!

Kaskade- fuckin KILLED it. perfect song selection. crowd loved him. then he got up on the equipment and got the crowd to go nuts. best part of the day.

ROBBIE RIVERA

ROGER SANCHEZ was pretty cool, don't really remember the exact songs but was fun

benny benassi my go to guy let me down again. by let me down i mean he does the same thing he does for every concert. he plays the beats and everyone goes nuts. we've heard ill all before. do your oldies or at least do something cooll

ARMIN VAN BUREN

deadmau5 had the coolest intro FOR SURE. dramatic, used the darkness with smoke effects. then came out arms raised and mouse head firmly attached. so creepy that it's fuckin cool as shit. after that the music wasn't really for me. I'm not gonna criticize these guys. I just don't like certain types of techno and this fell flat for me.
