"These guys are ridiculous. Seattle hip-hop trio The Saturday Knights aren’t you’re average MC’s; rather, they combine a certain bizarre lyricism (think The Lonely Islands) with some really snazzy music, part-hardrock, part-jazz, part-pretty-slick-rapping. We really can’t take them seriously (especially after watching the music video for Count It Off below), but their debut album “Mingel,” which dropped at the end of last year is some pretty sweet party music. Check out the fantastic Count It Off below, complete with a chorus of children, “ate out the ugly chicks,” and a fantastic rollicking piano and horns on the chorus." (KickinThePeanuts)
"I've been thinking about the different types of music blogs out there and why people read them:
1)The blogs that give you what you want before you even know it exists.
These are the sites that post up that future hit song that's going to be on the radio in 2 months. By the time the song is on the radio, the links won't work, but you learn that if you go to these blogs and grab that shit while it's hot, you'll always have the music everyone is scouring the internet for when it starts getting spins."
